Originally a highball was simply Scotch whisky, and soda water, in a glass with ice. Over time it has come to include any drink which is made from a spirit, and a carbonated beverage. It represents one of the simplest and most straightforward drinks around.
Base Recipe
Highball
- 2 ounces spirit
- 4 ounces soda (or other mixer)
Add liquor to an ice filled highball glass, top with soda.
