I'm playing around with setting up a "Blog Roll" page for the site. Since in your profiles it allows you to supply a url for "Website", "Blog", and "Gallery", I thought I'd do a page which presents those links for each users which has provided them.
I am sorting users by "activity".
By listing "all" users who provide links to sites/blogs, this prevents me (or somebody else) from having to be the arbitrator of which sites to list. Do you guys think this works? Or do you think it would be better to try to hand-roll a list of "key" blog sites?
If you haven't seen it yet, I've implemented a "Blog Roll", a link to it is now on the home page at the top of the right-hand sidebar.
I generate the list by looking at all site users, who are members of the "Bloggers And Such" group, and have provided information in the "Shared Feeds" item in their profiles. I then touch their blog and get a list of their posts, and display the most recent post. With the list sorted by pubdate.
Let me know if you have any comments, thoughts, or issues.
Nice new feature, Robert!

Great feature, Robert. Did you also implement your original concept of sorting by "activity" in the list? I assume it would be based on Chanticleer Society activity and I think it's a great way to promote bloggers' participation here.
Thanks for promoting our work and throwing an area of the site our way.
Any chance of getting our blog names put along with your actual names on the Blogroll? I have read a lot of blogs but I rarely know who the people are, so if I could put a name to a blog, that'd be not so bad.

Eh? Isn't it already doing this? For example:

What are you wanting different from that?
