Ok, this could be a little scary... I just noticed that the discussions within the groups support inserting videos in the posts. And of course you know that a video from the "American Bartenders School" just has to be the first to get posted here!

This guy is a riot.

Format: ???
Duration: 4:10

Let's see how well this works.

Ok... so that didn't quite work. It looks like embedding videos from YouTube isn't quite a simple "paste the url"... I'll have to look into this a little. I can only assume that posting YouTube videos would be the most common task for this.

Anyway... if you want to see the video it's here:

Just to make sure we all got that:

Capreehana / Capreeheena (or whatever we like to call it...)

Made with a special type of liquer. not brandy nor rum  but something similar. COCHACA.

Muddle lime with the wrong end of a little baseball bat.

add simple syrup.

add regular ice.

add another ounce of simple syrup.(tell the patron its cochaca)

splash of club soda.

and a quick dash of sweet and sour! because this is how they do it in Brazil.

remember limes dont have much juice in them (when muddled with the wrong end of a mini baseball bat).

Good thing you posted this video Robert, it seems Ive been making it wrong all these years...Stick out tongue

I am waiting in anticipation for the day I recieve a CV with "barschool" on it. Or is it a joke?

Why the long face?

I would love to think that this was some kind of sick joke but, I know that there are people just like this out in the world serving drinks. I highly reccomend the daiquiri video.

Great video Robert!

I can´t stop laughing! I wonder why these guys haven´t taken this video out of the web yet?

How is it possible that these people are still training bartenders?

But the sad truth is many of our colleagues around the world cannot pronounce Cachaça or Caipirinha, and many of them don’t even come close to getting it right (accents aside).

it´s sad but it´s the truth!

The saddest thing is there's a whole range of these awful vids on youtube. He's made his own page (http://www.youtube.com/user/jtiano) with 130 of these classic vids.

I've shown a few of them to some of my staff as examples of how 'not' to make a drink.
