From time to time, I like to play with the Mixilator - the David Embury Random Cocktail Generator. However, I never have all the ingredients to make any one of the recipes generated and hardly even am able to get those ingredients. Here is a random example:

Colic Cocktail

Chill cocktail glass. Prepare as follows:

In pre-chilled cocktail shaker combine

Shake with coarsely crushed ice as if you were suffering a super-acute attack of ague and Saint Vitus dance combined.

Strain into chilled cocktail glass.

Rye whiskey: very difficult to find in France. Chocolate flavored vodka: I've never seen one. Rock candy syrup: never seen either. Ferro-China bitters: I have no idea what it is. Blackberry schnapps: this I can find but it's not common.

So, my question is: has anybody ever tried to implement a recipe from The Mixilator?  If yes, is it worth the effort?
