CLASSY - $$$$ - EAT -
The Canlis has been a Seattle fixture for over 50 years. It is a popular "special occasion" restaurnat, being used by many for anniversaries, important business dinners, and other times when you really want that sort of fine-dining atmosphere. Their bar is a little on the small side, and mostly used by their patrons as they wait for their table, but the cocktails they are producing are top notch and pay an excellent homage to the resurgance of the classic cocktails.

Note: parking is valet only. And casual attire is not recommended.

We went here on my 50th b-day. Had a fabulous time; felt so taken care of. The food and beverages were so good, my words could not do them justice. I still remember the tea-smoked rice, have tried to recreate that recipe, to no avail.
