Once a diners wasteland, Bellevue has blossomed with many restaurants in recent years, but they still lacked much in the way of quality cocktail offerings. That is, until Chantanee Thai relocated into it's new space, and decided to show Bellevue what real cocktails were really like. Parking can be trickey, but once that's settled, the cocktails will make it worth the effort. Andrew Bohrer is the head bartender, and he has taken great pains to collect a great assortment of special and obscure spirits to stock the bar.

Sadly, Andrew is no longer at Chantanee, having moved to the soon to re-open Mistral, but the new head bartender Mike McSorley is no slouch either, and it will be interesting to see what he does with the bar.

Cheers! It looks like it's working so far. I've been to Chantanee twice now and the service, food, and drinks were consistent. and delicious Thank you for the introduction to Old Tom Gin. I now know that this is the original gin used (and hence the name) in the classic Tom Collins (see Fine Art of Mixing Drinks). There might be some hope for Bvue yet.
