Hi all,

I've been poring over Ted Haigh's just-released 2nd edition of Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails.  I thought it might be neat to see how many times each liquor is represented among the 100+ recipes in the book.  Thankfully, his liquor index made that pretty easy.  Anyway, then I got the idea of doing a "Wordle" representation of the results.  Here it is - all of the cocktail recipe liquors represented as a conglomeration in graphic form. The size/weight of each word represents the number of times the liquor is used.

Incidentally, I discovered that the ingredients of the Alamagoozlum are neglected from the index.  I've added them in this representation.  I also tried to eliminate double counting as much as possible.  I think that this is a fun way to look at the recipes.  As you can see, we'd be nowhere without gin!  Hope you all like it.  Here's a link to the Wordle gallery version.  Enjoy.

Best,

Jake
