If you havent seen this months world class yet  have a look at this. Angus honestly gives one of the clearest but simplest explanations of gins murky history.

Thanks Angus its great. Just one thing though... Is it possible to upload a copy so it can be reread or printed on a later date?

Diddo! Wow Angus! Great Read.

If you're making that available in print I would love to save it for future reference. That was 'bloody brilliant'!

Folks,

after your kind words and because I left the story half finished I here present you with part two of the Gin Story as considered by me.

Excelent, Thank you Angus. I am looking forward to the PDF's

Just my opinion about new western gins though; I think its great creating a new desigantion for younger style gins. Even though I believe the strongest campaigners for a different style designation of gin have their own brands' interest at heart... It would be a good thing.

I have many guys making statements such as; Hendricks is not realy a gin. Well it is perhaps a different gin than what you are used to but a gin non the less.

As for it being a flavoured Vodka... Are the flavours actually distilled into the vodka? Why is Absinthe not a flavoured Vodka then? I believe as long as there is Juniper present it is a gin.

IMHO
