The Gibson is "the place" to get a great cocktail in DC. They only let in so many people at a time so it's never crowded inside, but it does fill up quickly on the weekend nights so reservations are suggested. The entrance is an unmarked door (no sign outside) so just walk up, knock, and if there's space or if you have a reservation they'll let you in.

The bartenders know their stuff and take their time on the cocktails. The dimly lit atmosphere throws into another world far from the city outside, where all that's left are good company and great drinks.
